(TLY) Protest rallies: Punjab asks federal govt to deploy Rangers

LAHORE – Punjab government on Saturday has penned a letter to federal government and have requested deployment of four companies of Rangers in the province.

Rangers would be deployed to control the situation. Furthermore, Punjab govt is mulling to place leaders of Tehreek Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah (TLY) under house arrest whereas all those involved in violent protests would be imprisoned.

The letter was written after protest rallies turned violent. Meanwhile, the scale of protest has also been spreading with every passing movement whereas district administration in Islamabad has not dispersed protesters thus far.
